Blacky's Guide Service is a fully licensed Outfitter in Washington State, and Troy also runs guided fishing trips in Idaho State for Castaway Outfitters in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho - license #8913.
Troy has over 35 years experience chasing these great fish. He caught his first steelhead when he was only 10 years old, and he caught his first salmon when he was 8. He started seriously 
chasing steelhead and salmon while in his youth with his father as they would get up early every day before school and work, go the river, catch there "daily double" and be home for school and work. Many people that know him say that if he was born with gills and scales he would be just about perfect.
A true "riverbum" at heart, Troy is fanatical about fishing. When he's not guiding he's on the water fishing spending time learning more about the fish he loves. He's always trying to learn and improve his craft. His 
knowledge and expertise exudes when he's on the water. Troy has a great sense of humor and loves to have a good time. He not only wants to produce fish for his clients but also wants them to have an enjoyable day on the water. He's truly at home on the water.
